Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about the current Manufacturing Copilot platform and its commercial roadmap.

Deployment

What operating system does Manufacturing Copilot support?

The current desktop application is being developed for Windows environments. Review the system requirements page before installation.

Can the system be configured for different plants and departments?

Yes. The platform foundation supports value streams, departments, machines, operators, shifts, and hourly production targets. Multi-plant enterprise management is part of the commercial roadmap.

Can shift times be changed?

Yes. Shift names and times are designed to be configurable so the system can reflect each plant's operating schedule.

Operations

Can hourly targets vary by job, machine, department, or hour?

Yes. Hourly targets can be defined by production context and may vary across the shift.

Does the platform track scrap, rework, and downtime?

Yes. Production workflows include good pieces, scrap, rework, and categorized downtime records used in performance and OEE reporting.

Is the AI assistant available today?

AI-driven manufacturing assistance is a planned capability. Website and product materials label features as Available, In Development, or Planned to avoid overstating current functionality.

Data & security

Who controls the manufacturing data?

The current architecture is local-first and is designed to keep customer operational data under customer control. Final deployment architecture and responsibilities will be documented in commercial agreements.

How are backups handled?

Administrators should follow the database backup guidance and maintain a tested backup and recovery routine appropriate for their plant.

Is the website demo form secure?

The form is processed by a Cloudflare Pages Function, and credentials are stored as environment secrets rather than browser code. Submitted requests are delivered through the configured email provider.

Commercial availability

Can I download the production installer now?

Public installer downloads are not enabled yet. Code signing, release approval, licensing, onboarding, and support processes must be completed before commercial distribution.

How do I request a demo?

Use the Request Demo form on the homepage. A member of Copilot Manufacturing Solutions can then follow up using the work email you provide.

Where can I report a problem or request a feature?

Use the Support Center and choose the appropriate product area and priority. Feature requests can be submitted through the same form.
